Dry Skin Tip (No Greasy Creams Here!)

Maybe you're reading this from balmy Miami Beach, but more likely than not, it's ASS COLD where you are right now. Not doing much for your skin, is it? I don't know about you but I my skin is dry as a bone and feels tight. Instead of layering on tons and tons of cream (which doesn't seem to help much anyway), I took some classic dermatologist advice and got a humidifier for my bedroom. I turn it on at night and it seems help a little bit, and hey, every little bit counts. I think I can also thank my Walgreens Cool Mist Humidifier for making my eyes less red and burny. (Yes, I know burny isn't a word. I'm tired, ok?)

  1. I had a warm water humidifier, so it added moisture and warmed my bedroom. But it was ridiculously hard to keep clean. Or maybe I'm just lazy. At any rate, it was easier to lather on cream and bundle under the covers. Didn't do much for my dry skin, but I didn't have to wash the daggone humidifier anymore.

  2. They are a pain in the ass to clean, I'll give you that. But I seem to see a bit of a difference, at least with my eyes, and my husband says he's not as stuffy anymore when he wakes up. But maybe it's placebo effect???
